On February 24, the awareness Conference on coronavirus clearance and prevention was successfully held in the conference room of China Federation of industry and Commerce in Lahore, Pakistan. According to Professor Tariq, coronavirus (COV) is a large class of virus, which can cause more serious diseases from common cold to Middle East respiratory syndrome (mers COV) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS CoV). A new coronavirus (ncov) is a new strain not previously found in humans. Coronaviruses are zoonoses, which means they spread between animals and people. Detailed investigation found that SARS CoV was transmitted from civet cat to human, and mers cov was transmitted from single humped camel to human. Several known coronaviruses are spreading in animals that have not yet infected humans. Common symptoms of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, and dyspnea. In more severe cases, infection can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, renal failure, and even death. Professor Tariq further introduced standard recommendations to prevent the spread of infection, including regular hand washing, covering the mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, and thoroughly cooking cooked meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone with respiratory symptoms, etc.
